About The Awards
The Mental Health Media Awards, now in their 14th year, celebrate the best portrayals of mental distress and reporting of mental health issues in the media.

Broadcasters and journalists contribute to the way we understand mental distress and have the power to change hearts and minds. The best programmes and articles give us the real story about mental health, told by those who know. They shed light on the hidden, uncovering injustice and prejudice, and have an enormous impact on the people they reach.

Once again, we are looking for print and broadcasts which deserve to be rewarded for increasing understanding and respect. Winning entries will be innovative, challenging, well made and inspiring.
